What does FIT stand for?
FIT is BP’s new Fuel Integrity & Technology program allowing customers to gain access to BP’s expertise in fuel cleanliness, advanced fuels technology and fuel storage and handling best practices.
What does the FIT program include?
Our Global Fuel Technology (GFT) experts, with extensive years of experience, have identified 5 sources of value critical to reducing risk, improving efficiency and increasing productivity. These 5 elements include: i. Clean Fuels Through sampling and assessments, the FIT team assists customers in achieving fuel that is clean and free from contamination, both in storage and throughout the internal fuel supply chain. ii. Fuels Training Designed by our technical experts, FIT Training modules educate staff on how to implement proper equipment refuelling, storage and handling techniques. They also advise how to best develop a clean fuels strategy to maintain fuel cleanliness on site and maximise the associated benefits. iii. Advanced Fuels Advanced diesel formulations, such as BP Ultimate Diesel are designed specifically to keep injectors clean, minimise power loss, reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency. FIT allows customers to realise these benefits by trialling BP Ultimate Diesel at sites across the country. iv. Fuels Management Services BP’s Engineering and Fuel Management experts identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce the risks associated with the storage and transfer of fuel. The FIT portal is a personalised repository for all the reports and bulletins submitted by BP engineers. v. Global Fuels Technology Expertise BP’s Global Fuels Technology team provide the very best in fuel technology, and help to develop fuel strategies to increase efficiency and productivity. The FIT portal allows customers to directly ask questions of our GFT experts, and leverage this knowledge to improve fuel cleanliness on site
